About the course

Between St Annes and Liverpool there are eight superb seaside courses and many people believe this is the best stretch of golf in the British Isles. It is certainly the mecca of English links golf and Hillside Golf Club is perhaps the best of the non-royal ordinary golf clubs.

Hillside is an underrated gem, separated only by a footpath but hiding in the shadow of its royal neighbour Royal Birkdale. A railway line separates Hillside from Southport and Ainsdale, other fine but relatively unknown links.
