Connemara Golf Links

About the course

This beautiful isolated course celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2023. Designed by the great Eddie Hackett, it lies west of Clifden along the distinctive Wild Atlantic Ways discovery site of Derrigimla Bog and Mannin Bay Blueway. From the testing opening hole, Dog Leg, to the breathtaking back nine, the course is a test for all levels. In 2000 an additional 9 holes were opened to add another dimension to the exciting golfing experience at Connemara. The course was named the best links course in Connaught by the Golfers Guide to Ireland in 2023.

Playing on the Connemara course you will be enchanted by the surrounding landscape with views of Slyne Head Lighthouse, the 12 Ben Mountains, the Atlantic Ocean, white sandy beaches and Grainne O’Malley’s Castle. There’s something special on every hole. The club offers well-equipped facilities with a club bar and restaurant with spectacular views, a pro shop, practice tee and putting green. The proshop has everything you need, from golf trolleys, club hire, lessons and top brand clothing.
