The Island Golf Club

About the course

An island in Ireland was once an island. It is now attached to the mainland, but is still an isolated spit of land resembling a peninsula, sandwiched between the Irish Sea, Donabate Beach and the mouth of the Broadmeadow River.

Few people know about The Island Golf Club, even though the course is over 100 years old and has appeared in many rankings over the years. One of the UK’s leading golf magazines once wrote: “The best course in Ireland you’ve never heard of. Play it and don’t tell anyone.”
