About the course
The origins of golf at Kingsbarns date back to 1790. Over the course of four centuries the course has developed into one of the finest courses in the world. The course as it stands today dates back to 2001. The World Golf Association even recognised Kingsbarns Links as the 5th best course in the world in 2005. The breathtaking scenery of the Scottish coastline, combined with the sandy uplands and impressive greens, are a clear guarantee that Kingsbarns Golf Links has been given the recognition it deserves. Each hole delivers a beautiful sea view and even 7 of the holes can be played along or across the sea. The concept of the game is very varied, it has all the elements of modern golf with traditional references to an earlier era.
