Course was designed by Old Tom Morris in 1891 and later was modified by Harry Colt. It is considered as one of the strangest course ever thanks to the unusual arrangement of holes. Front nine holes there and back 9 holes forming two symmetrical circles. Among the professional players it is one of the best course of the world for his design. Course is known that players have to show maximum precision and ingenuity on every shot. Muirfield is flat course with a really diverse environment. Fantastic sea views alternate with deep bunkers and brambles. The greens are known for their very large area, so it is necessary show perfect feeling. Muirfield is the most common place for the world of golf in many categories.
