Royal Dornoch

About the course

Royal Dornoch was created in 1877 by architect Old Tom Morris, who created an eighteen-hole course from the original nine-hole course. Royal Dornoch Golf Club is one of the 20 oldest golf clubs. The course is situated near the village of Dornoch with beautiful views over Dornoch Firth and the stunning coastline. With a course length of around 6km it doesn’t rank among the greats, yet it is the flagship course of the county. The unique flat greens that dominate this course are a feature. There are also stunning ridges, hilly slopes and plenty of dunes.
