Royal Dornoch was created in 1877 by architect Old Tom Morris, who was made eighteen holes from originally a nine-hole course. Royal Dornoch Golf Club ranks among to the 20th oldest golf clubs. The course is situated nearby the village of Dornoch with stunning views on the bay Dornoch Firth and wonderful coastline. With a length of 6 km course around are not among the greats, but it is the flagship of this region. Characteristic are unique flat greens, which dominate this course with combs, hilly slopes and plenty of dunes.
