Scotscraig ranks his founding in 1817 to one of the oldest Scottish courses. Scotscraig Golf Club is the 13th oldest golf club in the world and has a very rich history. The town is located about 15 minutes from St. Andrews. The golf course is also used as a qualifier for the British Open. Typical characteristics for Scotscraig is a shrubby vegetation with bunkers and sand dunes. Course is available for all levels of players, even though it is a high quality course.
