St Andrews, Scotland – The legendary golf destination of St Andrews has witnessed a unique sporting encounter. NHL hockey star Petr Mrazek joined forces with football legends Vladimír Šmicer and Patrik Berger for an unforgettable golfing journey hosted by ParadeGolf. Ltd.

The home of the expedition was the prestigious Old Course Hotel (), situated right next to the 17th hole of the iconic Old Course (https://standrews.com/golf/courses/old-course). It was here that the trio of athletes enjoyed a game full of emotions and showed that they can make a name for themselves even outside their home ground. The nervousness from the first tee soon subsided and the gentlemen showed performances worthy of experienced golfers. An evening dinner in the Old Course clubhouse overlooking the 18th hole then crowned a great day with scores of +3 and +5 – a fantastic achievement on such a challenging course!

Caddie and football passion

Local caddies on the Old Course, honored with the opportunity to carry the bags for legendary athletes, enthusiastically shared stories from the day. Caddie Patrick, a seasoned veteran named John, proudly recounted his day with the hockey star. He enthusiastically described Patrick’s hits and added with a smile: “He’s an incredibly talented athlete, not just in football but in golf. He even promised to give me one of his jerseys if Liverpool win tonight!”

Liverpool were playing a football match that night, so the whole gang headed to the pub The Jigger Inn (https://www.oldcoursehotel.co.uk/dining/jigger-inn), where the caddies meet after the game. The boys’ arrival at the pub caused a sensation. The atmosphere picked up and locals flocked to greet them with enthusiasm. Everyone gathered around the television to watch the thrilling match with anticipation. The atmosphere thickened with every foul and every goal. In the end, Liverpool won and a wave of excitement erupted in the pub. The whole group had a couple of Guinnesses to celebrate and reminisced about this memorable day with a smile on their faces.

A journey to beauty and challenges

The expedition’s schedule was packed and included other prestigious courses in addition to the Old Course. The Castle Course (https://standrews.com/golf/courses/the-castle-course), part of the St. Andrews Links complex, captivated with breathtaking panoramas and challenging holes leading over cliffs. This was followed by a stop at Kingsbarns Golf Links  (https://www.kingsbarns.com/), one of the world’s top courses and the venue for the prestigious Alfred Dunhill Tournament.

An excursion into the world of whisky

After a busy day on the green, the gentlemen relaxed at the nearby Kingsbarns Distillery (https://www.kingsbarnsdistillery.com/). The tour gave them a fascinating insight into the history and art of Scotch whisky production and the tasting of the delicious drams was a great end to the day.

New challenges on Dumbarnie Links

The journey ended at Dumbarnie Links (https://www.dumbarnielinks.com/), one of the newest additions to the golf destinations. The perfect condition of the course and the challenging links test tested the skills of all participants and became a worthy end to this exceptional trip.

An unforgettable experience for all

The golf trip to St Andrews was an unforgettable experience for all involved. The combination of legendary athletes, the beauty of the Scottish countryside and prestigious courses created a unique atmosphere full of friendship, emotion and sportsmanship.
