Tiger Woods has left Nike and entered a new era with his own brand, Sun Day Red
After 27 years of an iconic partnership with Nike, Tiger Woods has embarked on a new journey with his own clothing brand, “Sun Day Red”. The collection, created in collaboration with TaylorMade, with whom Woods has worked since 2017, debuted just before his return to the PGA Tour.
The brand’s new logo features a leaping tiger made up of 15 stripes, symbolizing the 15 major titles the 48-year-old golfer has won during his career. The name “Sun Day Red” refers to Woods’ tradition of wearing a red shirt on the final day of a tournament. The colour was once recommended to him by his mother as a symbol of strength.
Sun Day Red presents itself as a “premium active lifestyle brand” offering a wide range of clothing and footwear. Each piece is designed with the comfort and peak performance of golfers in mind. Woods actively puts his knowledge and experience accumulated over his extensive career into product development.
The collection offers:
- Semi-fitted and polo shirts made of breathable materials with moisture-wicking technology
- Golf trousers and shorts with an innovative cut for maximum range of motion
- Sweatshirts and jackets for cooler weather
- Golf shoes with Boost technology for optimal cushioning and stability
- Accessories such as caps, gloves and socks
The end of his association with Nike has sparked speculation about Woods’ future, but his commitment and vision are clear. The new brand symbolises his long and successful journey in the world of golf and opens the door to the next chapter of his career. In doing so, he shows that even after severe injuries and setbacks, he is still capable of innovating and pushing the boundaries, both on and off the field.
